Cylinder Locks Care & Maintenance
Cylinder Locks Lubrication
The cylinder locks mechanism consists of items that include brass and / or steel pins. Insertion of a key will inevitably cause friction as the ridges defined by the key cut, provides movement of the pins.
It is therefore vital that the cylinder is lubricated as follows:
| Description of Use Lubrication | Interval |
| Cylinders with an average of more than 100 key operations per day | Monthly |
| Cylinders with an average of 50 key operations per day | Quarterly |
| Cylinders with an average of 10 key operations per day | Six Monthly |
| Cylinders with an average of less than 10 key operations per day | Annually |
