No hotchpotch: Traditionally, mechanical and electronic secure access control systems have been developed in isolation with no regard for the relationship between the two. As a result, users have been left with a hotchpotch of Codes, Cards, Tokens and Keys. eTigris^® is the only device on the market that integrates mechanical and electronic proximity locks and contributes to satisfying the requirements of universal accessibility.

 

One credential: eTigris^® is a unique access control equipment solution which, via it's eTouch credential, can combine both the electronic key fob and mechanical keys, integrated into a single credential which can be used throughout the building.

 

Electronic access: eTigris^® is a proximity access control device which uses RFID technology (radio frequency identification) to control access authority to any type of electronic locking mechanism (i.e. electromagnet, electric strike, solenoid bolt etc...). The transmitter is located within the eTouch fob/key.

Long range: The optional eButton transmitter device makes life easier for those that benefit from long range activation of the electronic proximity access control doors. The range exceeds 10 metres and is typically used by those people who use a wheelchair or when control is required for low energy operators / security gates for example. 

Mechanical access: The eTouch key consolidates mechanical and electronic security into one easy to use device. All Tigris^® Premier and Omega keys can be incorporated within this eTouch device.

System design flexibility: In any access control system it is expected that there will be individuals that will require access to electronically controlled proximity access control doors, i.e. main entrances, yet not require access to mechanically secured doors. These people can be provided with the proximity access control eTouch fob.

It is also expected that certain individuals would require access to both electronically and mechanically secured doors and it is these people that are provided with the eTouch key.

Mechanical door users are supplied with keys only.

System life flexibility: The eTigris^® system is designed to remain flexible throughout the life of the proximity access control system as individual user's requirements change. We provide upgrade kits that allows the end user to convert an existing key to an eTouch key (only a screwdriver is required).

Our kits will also allow eTouch keys to eTouch fobs and vice versa.

Existing Tigris® masterkey systems: Should an existing Tigris® Premier or Omega masterkey system be in use, an eTigris® can be installed and upgrade packs can be supplied to convert existing keys to eTouch keys.
